I love adventures. I love new cities and places and people and food! I love art and museums and walking in a new city and I especially love exploring. My Mom is an expert adventurer and always fun to travel with.
My little brother got a new job in Seattle and so we decided to go (check on him). I MEAN visit him and see how he was settling in. He is doing great by the way and we are all so proud of him. As much as I love to travel and see new places….Arizona has always been my home. I think he is so brave to move to a new city. Think of all the adventures you could have!
Do you ever have times in your life where you think…everything is going pretty good. I feel like I have a grasp on things. Every single time I think that, I yell in my head..I TAKE IT BACK! I TAKE IT BACK! Inevitably, when I have this thought hard times approach quickly and swiftly. And they did. But…Seattle. Seattle was the calm before the storm and I am so happy and grateful we had this fun experience.
In the garden outside and around the space needle was a beautiful Chihuly exhibit. My little heart was full of sunshine and songs, just bursting with joy to see it.
In between exploring we would head back to our hotel and rest. We would watch a session of General Conference. General Conference is a time for people who belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to hear from the leaders of our church. Here is one of my favorite talks so far from conference. Listen and tell me what you think! https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2019/10/28alvarado?lang=eng
Day 2: We were only in Seattle for two days. It was such a quick, fun trip! We visited Pike’s Public Market. This is something that has always been on my bucket list. I LOVE markets. The flowers were out of this world and the prices were fantastic! We found this delicious fish restaurant on the back side of Pike’s. I had the most delicious salmon and fresh veggie lunch. YUM! I am still thinking about it. It was so fresh and cooked to perfection.
We wandered and people watched and then walked down to the ocean. We rode the ferris wheel, stopped in a few stores, walked back to the gum wall. We dropped Steve off and then got up early the next morning to head home. Seattle is a delightful city.
The sun shined its lovely face just for us I think, almost like it knew we were going to need it. I am so grateful for the chance I had to go to visit my brother with my Mom. It was so much fun.
